  4. Once the correct timeframe is set, click Continue.

  1. A new pop-up will appear with full export details.
  2. In the Description field, add notes to help identify the export.
  3. Confirm the start and end time/date.
  4. Choose the Storage location (Cloud, SD card, or NAS).
  5. Select Additional devices if exporting from more than one.
  6. Click Export footage at the bottom of the pop-up.

Your export will be created as a case file and stored in the Forensics section of the top navigation menu under Exports. Exports remain available for 90 days.

Managing exports

Exports are stored in the Exports page within the Forensics section of the platform. From this section, you can:

  • Download exports: Exports are downloaded as a .zip file to your local device. The file can be extracted and played back using any standard video player.
  • Delete exports: Remove exports that are no longer needed directly from the Exports page.

YourSixOS Validator

The YourSixOS Validator is a specialized utility within the YourSixOS ecosystem. Its primary purpose is to validate the authenticity and integrity of video exports generated by YourSixOS, confirming that the export archive has not been altered or tampered.

The Validator is available from the Forensics section of YourSixOS, and at https://validator.platform.yoursix.com.

INFO

Validation only works on the original entire .zip export file; not on individual files extracted from the archive, nor exports that have been re-zipped.

WARNING

It applies only to exports created on or after January 13, 2023. Earlier exports cannot be verified with this tool.
