Inspect
YourSixOS comes with first-class support for central station monitoring.
YourSixOS Inspect provides central stations with a limited view-and-control-only workflows, specifically tailored for central station operators.
Inspect does not come with users. Instead, it is launched from an alarm receiving software. The trusted principal is the entire central station.
Functionality
Quite similar to the main application's Matrix, the Inspect application also provide a grid view with a timeline.
Alarm operators can react to an event emitted by any event-emitting resource, by opening up YourSixOS Inspect from their respective alarm receiving software. In Inspect, they can, as the name suggests, inspect the circumstances of that event by visualizing relevant evidence material from adjacent security things.
The main difference from the main application's Matrix is that Inspect's grid view is setup ad-hoc and can not be persisted. Inspect tries to the greatest extent possible build that view based out of the event type, the event's source and its adjacency.
Some practical examples:
When a camera has emitted a VMD event, the alarm operator will get a live view side-by-side with a recording from the camera. That way the operator can quickly verify whether the VMD event was false or real. If real, the operator can use the adjacent speaker to perform a talkdown to deter potential crime.
When a barrier has emitted a
barrier alarmevent, Inspect will show the current state of that barrier and it's adjacent security things, e.g: adjacent smoke detector peripherals and adjacent cameras. The alarm operator can then verify that the barrier alarm event was actually caused by someone forcing the door open because there's a fire.
INFO
In order for a central station to receive event notifications, a notification rule must be set up.
