Main application
YourSixOS's main application is the entrypoint for the user principal. It provides all the functionality needed for an end-customer (and integrator), including:
- Configuration of physical- and virtual resources
- Configuration of evidence collection and retention
- Forensical operations on evidence material
- Live view and control of physical security things
In a nutshell, the main application wraps the organization resource.
The main application is available at https://platform.yoursix.com.
Matrix
The Matrix is the primary view of the user application.
Matrix provides a grid of widgets and a timeline view, and is thus suited for all evidence material that is a function of time, e.g. video, audio, sensor values and more. It also provides live view and control of physical security things.
Ad-hoc views
Matrix is generally launched by clicking the Matrix tab in the application, but it can also be launched by:
- Clicking the link in an email notification or a push notification
- Clicking the link on a logged event while using the event search.
If launching Matrix from a notification or from the event search functions, Matrix will present an ad-hoc view consisting of the devices and things that are adjacent to each other. Adjacency is declared using adjacency groups.
Forensics
The Forensics section provides various views into evidence material produced by physical security things.
Event search
The event search function provides the ability to search logged events, given a query consisting of:
- A set of event-emitting resources
- A set of event types
- A time window
- A set of additional filters
The event search is suited for detailed analysis of events, e.g. correlation and reporting. It is also possible to jump from an event returned by the search query directly into Matrix at the time of event occurrence.
TIP
Use an adjacency group to present relevant evidence material from adjacent devices and things when investigating an event by jumping from the event search into Matrix.
INFO
In order for an event to be indexed and searchable, it needs to be logged using a log rule.
Object search
The object search function provides the ability search for visual objects detected and classified by cameras, given a query consisting of:
- A set of cameras
- A time window
- A set of object types
- A set of visual attributes (e.g. color)
INFO
In order for objects to be classified, indexed and searchable, Object Appearance Search (OAS) must be enabled on the device. Read more about optional features.
Evidence exports
Evidence exports are zip-archives with evidence material collected, archived and downloaded from YourSixOS. They are typically used when evidence material need to be retained longer than the YourSixOS subscription allows to, or when material needs to be shared with an external party, such as law enforcement.
Evidence exports can be validated for integrity and authenticity using the Validator application.
Configuration
The Configuration section of the main application is where all configuration of physical and virtual resources is performed. The main application is the only application that allows for any resource to be created, including:
- User creation
- Site creation
- Device enrollment
- Hardware configuration
