View only (hardware configuration) cards

In addition to the general attributes at the top of the Edit device page, there are several read-only cards specifically for integrators. These cards are visible to integrators but remain read-only for organization users and administrators.

Barriers

A Barrier represents a controlled set of access points (e.g., door, gate, or turnstile). Barriers are added to a door controller device and configured with hardware for authentication and monitoring.

An organization user and administrator may see barrier configurations but not change them.

Peripherals

A Peripheral represents a digital input or output. Peripherals are added to any device that supports digital I/O, such as a camera, door controller or IO-module.

An organization user and administrator may see peripheral configurations but not change them.

Management

The device management card contains miscellaneous administrative tools, including Access device and Reboot.

Access device can be used to open a tunnel to the device's built-in user interface and perform device-local settings not governed by YourSixOS, such as:

  • Image settings
  • Stream settings
  • PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) settings
  • Privacy Mask settings
  • Analytics settings
  • System settings

WARNING

Having changed some of these settings, a reboot may be required.
