Users
Locate a user
- From the navigation bar, select
Configuration
. - On the page menu, select
Users
. - Use the search function or browse manually to find the user.
- Click the user row.
Edit basic user information
Enter or update:
- First name
- Last name
- Description
- Add or remove roles
Click Save
.
Alarm group permissions
Alarm group permissions declare what alarm groups the user may control (arm and disarm).
Add alarm group permissions
- Click
Add permission
. - In the popup menu:
- Choose Site
- Select Alarm groups from the list
- Click
Save
.
Edit alarm group permissions
- Select or update alarm groups.
- Click
Save
to confirm. - To delete, click the trash can icon.
Site permissions
Add site permissions
- Click
Add permission
. - In the popup menu:
- Select scopes
- Select sites
- Click
Save

- Select or update scopes.

Device permissions
Add device permissions
- Click

- Select scopes.
- Select devices.
- Click

Barrier permissions
Add barrier permissions

- Select barriers.

Adding new users
Start
- From the navigation bar, select
Configuration
. - In the page menu, select
Users
. - Click
Add user
in the upper-right corner.
Enter user information
- Complete all required fields.
- Select roles.
- Click
Save
to confirm.
Assign permissions
After a user with roles user
or administrator
has been created, the following permissions must be assigned for the user to be granted access to resources within the organization:
- Alarm group permissions (authorization to control alarm groups).
- Site permissions (authorization to a site and all devices and barriers under it).
- Device permissions (authorization to individual devices and all barriers under it).
- Barrier permissions (authorization to individual barriers).
Best practices
- Study how permissions and authorization work in the technical reference.
- Assign least privilege permissions first; expand only as necessary.
- Regularly audit user permissions to ensure compliance.
